BACKGROUND: Total transformation of man cannot occur without Christ. A man can only try to modify his behavior, but only Christ can give a new life to all men. If any man wants a new life, Christ is the answer {John 10:10}
NEW RELATIONSHIP OF FAITH WITH CHRIST: Luke 19:1-10.
It was as if Zacchaeus knew that God the Father wanted to give all men a new beginning through Christ. He was motivated to look for Jesus, the only begotten Son of God who came into this wretched world to suffer and die for humanity regardless of race and background. Zacchaeus understood that Jesus could give him a new life, if he could just believe in Him. There are two things one can learn from Zacchaeus if anyone wants to establish a new relationship of faith with Christ:
1. THERE SHOULD BE MOTIVATION TO CHANGE WHAT WASN’T WORKING – Luke 19: 1-10
2. THERE SHOULD BE MOMENTUM OF A REAL FAITH IN CHRIST – Colossians 1:19; Philippians 4:13.
Those who lack momentum and motivation run the risk of backsliding. A laid-back and lazy attitude cannot help anyone both physically and spiritually as well
