BACKGROUND : In order for a church to grow or continue, there must be reproduction. The bible says the church is the church of the living God…….1Timothy 3:15; we are made alive through Christ as a result God want us to reproduce which is the most effective way to grow a church. Illustration “It is easy to determine when something is aflame. It ignites other material. Any fire that does not spread will eventually go out. A church without evangelism is a contradiction in terms, just as a fire that does not burn is a contradiction.”
Reasons Soul Winning . Mathew 28: 18-20 Soul wining is a mandate or a command from The Lord. He does not want any to perish. Jesus died for the whole world and we are to spread the good news to all men.
It is through the twelve apostles that the church grow and multiplied; God is expecting us to do our part in building His kingdom.
Requirement for Evangelism. John 15:4-8 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit……., we see from this bible passage that we can not bear fruit without abiding in Him. Before you can give something you must have it. Christ must be central in our life, a life devoted to God in prayer and study of the Word. We we pray we God will guide us by his spirit into the ready soul.
1Prayer John 17:20 Let us look to God for a burden for souls. Pray for conversions throughout your areas . And specifically target by name those friends, co-worker and relatives who have not known The Lord to be saved.

Moody was attending a convention in Indianapolis on mass evangelism, he asked his song leader Ira Sankey to meet him at 6 o’clock one evening at a certain street corner. When Sankey arrived, Mr. Moody asked him to stand on a box and sing. Once a crowd had gathered, Moody spoke briefly and then invited the people to follow him to the nearby convention hall. Soon the auditorium was filled with spiritually hungry people, and the great evangelist preached the gospel to them. Then the convention delegates began to arrive. Moody stopped preaching and said, “Now we must close, as the brethren of the convention wish to come and discuss the topic, ‘How to reach the masses.'” Moody graphically illustrated the difference between talking about doing something and going out and doing it.”
